Yang has been fancinated by the Mother Nature for a long time. He started to collecting stuffs like
various kinds of beautiful feather and stones since childhood. As a young animal lover full of passion,
he spent lots of time watching wildlife and raising pigeons as well as fishes. After got his Master Degree
of Zoology, he chose to became a professional bird guide, and dedicated himself to still infancy Chinese
ecotourism. He has more than six years experience of guiding bird tours all around China. Southwest China
with many fantastic birdlife is his favorite birding area in this vast country. When he was still a postgraduate
student, he complished a one and half a month march which coverd near 3000 km mostly on foot from Ya`an,
Sichuan to Lhasa, Tibet and did birding all along the way.
Yang is also a self-educated illustrator with talent, who especially focus on drawing birds. He has already
published a comic book of waterbirds in Sichuan. Rightnow, he is working on the second comic book in
same series about forest birds in Sichuan.
Yang cooperates with some researchers from universities or institutes on some projects relate to birds.
So far, Yang and his friends published several peer-reviewed papers.
